Food & Drink Inspired Fiction Books

As a foodie and a bookworm, I thought I'd create a list of my favorite Food & Drink Inspired Fiction Books:

The Bees by Paull Laline

Not officially a food book, but without bees, there would be no food!

This book follows a sanitation worker bee "Flora 717", a member of the lowest caste in the hive.

How can a book about a fictional bee be so thought provoking. I promise you, after reading this book you'll have a better appreciation of bees in general.

Chocolat by Joanne Harris

I lived in Normandy, France for a while and when I read this book I was transported back to my memories of life in a small French village and the stunning chocolatier boutique that was on the high street. Perfect read for any Francophile, lover of cook books and chocolate fans.

The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane by Lisa See

This is such a stunning read that I could not put down. The story follows a young girl and how her life is effected and shaped by her family and local social traditions.

This story will open your eyes to the traditions of tea in a very unique way.

All available from independent bookstores.
