Happy National Hot Dog Month!

It's July, which means it's National Hot Dog Month!

Hot Dogs create memories of baseball games and food carts on the streets of New York City!

Here at Kam's Kitchen, we love adding our Chili Sauce to any dish, especially hot dogs!

Hot dogs, also known as frankfurters, are believed to have been first created in Frankfurt, Germany in the 15th century. However, the modern hot dog as we know it today is thought to have been developed in the United States in the late 19th century.

The origin of the term "hot dog" is unclear, but it is believed to have originated in the United States in the early 20th century. Some say it was coined by a sports cartoonist who saw a vendor selling sausages at a baseball game and thought they looked like dachshund dogs. Others believe the term was coined by German immigrants who referred to the sausages as "dachshund sausages" and the term was later shortened to "hot dog."

Regardless of the origin of the name, hot dogs became a popular food item in the United States, particularly at sporting events and street vendors. Today, hot dogs are a staple of American cuisine and are enjoyed by millions of people each year.
